How much cat litter does one cat need per month?
With TOFU, one cat with a regular-size litter box needs about 2 bags a month, roughly 12 liters: one to fill the box and one for topping up. After that, you replace all the litter. For several cats or litter boxes, the calculator below works out what you need.

Based on our experience: one fill per litter box per month (regular box 1 bag, large box 2 bags) plus 1 bag per cat for topping up, at a depth of 3–5 cm (1–2 in) and with clumps scooped daily. Actual use depends on your cat and your litter box.
How much litter should go in the box?
With TOFU, 3 to 5 cm (1–2 in) is enough. We fill to about 5 cm (2 in). If the level drops a little after cleaning, that's fine until you top up. One 6-liter bag is enough to fill a regular-size litter box.

Why you need less litter with TOFU
TOFU turns urine into firm clumps that don't crumble when you lift them out. So you only scoop out the clumps, and the rest stays clean in the box. You also need a shallower fill than with fine clay litter.

You choose the amount and how often, every month or every 2 months, and TOFU comes to you automatically. With a subscription, you save compared with buying single bags. You can pause, change the amount or cancel anytime in your account.
For one cat with a regular box, 4 bags every 2 months is a good fit. Two cats usually need 3 to 4 bags a month, so 8 bags every 2 months or 4 bags every month works well.
