The 100% natural dental care for cats, made from Matatabi wood. This toy has been loved by cats in Asia for centuries. Matatabi sticks contain essential oils whose scent can trigger euphoric reactions in cats. Chewing with pleasure reduces tartar and helps prevent bad breath.

Characteristics:

  • Natural, untreated Matatabi wood (Actinidia polygama), also known as silver vine or Japanese catnip
  • Considered the strongest and most effective of all cat herbs. Even cats that ignore catnip usually can't resist Matatabi.

Effect:

  • Similar to catnip, Matatabi triggers a comfort response typical of cats (the so-called catnip response).
  • Typical behaviors include licking, drooling, rubbing, and rolling around, as well as increased playfulness.
  • It's harmless if your cat swallows small amounts of Matatabi while chewing. In large amounts, however, it can cause temporary discomfort such as vomiting or diarrhea.
  • Because of the euphoric reactions, cats shouldn't be left unsupervised while playing with Matatabi sticks, and playtime should be limited.

Storage:

  • We recommend storing the Matatabi sticks in the resealable packaging after play, in a dry place.
