As a brand that originated in an animal shelter, it's important to us not just to “preach” our values but to actually live them. Whenever we can, we therefore try to support animal shelters and animal welfare associations. With #allpawsahome we launched an initiative to modernize Germany's animal shelters. An appealing layout for the cat rooms is also meant to make it easier to place cats in new homes, helping more cats find a loving home. Whether in the shelter or at home, cats should be able to live in an environment that suits their needs.

LucyBalu and the Überlingen Animal Shelter
In June 2023, we were also able to support the ‘Tierschutzverein Überlingen und Umgebung e.V.’, which runs the animal shelter in Überlingen. There, pets such as dogs, birds and small animals, and of course cats too, are cared for. “We also pursue the idea of regional and nationwide animal welfare,” reports Caroline, the association's first chairwoman.
“We can house up to 40 cats at once. At the moment, our operations are significantly limited due to major water damage in the dog house, and unfortunately we are forced to work at only “half” capacity.”
Despite the challenges, the team doesn't let itself be discouraged and works with all its strength to give animals without a home a better life. You can find more information about the animals, the work of the animal welfare association and the water damage on the shelter's website.
